Against the backdrop of our present-day world of dismantling of institutions, increasing elimination of rights, absence of due process, erasing selective history – reaches of authoritarianism are becoming visible.

I continue to invite participants who have disparate tendencies in their creative work.

There is an elegant relationship among all of it.

There is not a neat, hierarchical, formality to it all. This is an experiment, and I hope a laboratory. The results of this project have not been borne out.

These short-term project involve on-site performative experiences, varied insights into fiber, audio transcriptions of short stories. It has included work in video, small installation, painting, caricature and take-aways.

The intent was to conjure an experience of cultural positivity. The work does not have a theme or share a theory. The project weaves together a community from what appears

initially to be disjointed. It holds in its balance open-minded and willing pursuits. I sought to forge new and girder old alliances, a metaphor in contrast to the chortling of the new world order.

Here, I hope to find strength in community.
